Hayden Cox | High Snobiety

Surfboard designer and Haydenshapes owner Hayden Cox first started making boards at age 15, eventually developing his hobby into a multi-million dollar business that counts Alexander Wang among its fans.

For our latest Highsnobiety TV installment, we headed down under to check out Cox’s workshop and find out what makes the man tick. Shot in black and white — an aesthetic Cox has become renowned for — the surfboard shaper discusses the history of the Haydenshapes brand before revealing some of his biggest inspirations. At nearly 20 years old now, it’s been some story so far.
