Stokehouse Unlimited LLC Supplier Code of Conduct

Stokehouse Unlimited LLC and its family of brands — Vissla, Amuse Society, D'Blanc, and Sisstrevolution — are committed to excellence. This Supplier Code of Conduct sets clear standards for fair, safe, and healthy working conditions and for environmental responsibility across our supply chain. These standards are based on internationally accepted labor practices. The Code applies to every location that makes finished product for the Stokehouse family of brands, and to any other location Stokehouse Unlimited LLC designates.

Legal Compliance

Suppliers must follow all laws and regulations in the countries where they operate.

Forced Labor

Suppliers must not use involuntary or forced labor of any kind, including indentured, bonded, or prison labor.

Child Labor

Suppliers must not employ anyone younger than 15. The only exception is 14, where local law allows it in line with International Labor Organization guidelines, where it matches the age for finishing compulsory education, or where local law sets a different minimum. Suppliers must also follow all local rules for authorized young workers, especially limits on hours, wages, and working conditions.

Harassment

Suppliers must treat every worker with respect and dignity. No worker may face corporal punishment or any physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse.

Wages and Benefits

Suppliers must pay at least the minimum compensation required by local law and provide all legally mandated benefits. Overtime must be paid at the legally required premium rate or, where no such law exists, at least the worker's regular hourly rate. Suppliers must not use monetary fines as discipline.

Hours of Work

Except in extraordinary business circumstances, suppliers must not require workers to exceed the lower of: (a) 60 hours per week including overtime, or (b) the legal limit on regular and overtime hours in the country of manufacture. Workers must also receive at least one day off in every seven-day period.

Nondiscrimination

Stokehouse respects cultural differences. Even so, suppliers must base all employment decisions — hiring, pay, benefits, advancement, termination, and retirement — on ability, not on religious belief or any other personal characteristic.

Health and Safety

Suppliers must provide a clean, safe, and healthy workplace that meets all applicable local health and safety laws. This includes residential factories, where they apply.

Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

Suppliers must respect workers' lawful right to associate freely, including the choice to join or not join any group, and their legal right to bargain collectively.

Environment

Suppliers must follow all local environmental laws that apply to the workplace. We expect and encourage strong, sustainable practices.

Chemicals Management

Vissla is developing a formal Restricted Substances List (RSL), with a target completion date of December 31, 2019. We have already removed all PFAS from our boardshorts by switching to High IQ PFC-free DWR water repellent on every boardshort, and our goal is to extend this across the full line.

Customs Compliance

Suppliers must follow all applicable customs laws and maintain programs that prevent the illegal shipment of finished products.

Security

Suppliers must keep facility procedures that stop non-manifested cargo — such as drugs, explosives, biohazards, or other contraband — from entering outbound shipments.

Subcontracting

Suppliers must not use unauthorized subcontracting to manufacture finished product.

Communication

Suppliers must share this Code with their workers and supervisors.

Monitoring and Compliance

Stokehouse will take active steps to confirm suppliers follow this Code, including announced and unannounced on-site inspections. Suppliers must keep on site all records needed to demonstrate compliance, and must give Stokehouse representatives and agents full access to factories, worker records, and workers for confidential interviews during monitoring visits. Suppliers are expected to promptly correct any non-compliance. Stokehouse may end its relationship with any supplier unwilling to comply.

If you believe this Code has been broken in your workplace, please report it using any of the contacts below. Your report will be treated as strictly confidential.
