Creators & Innovators Short Film Contest

The winners' stage has been well and truly packed away for the 2018 Skullcandy Oz Grom Open presented by Vissla, but a few competitors have taken one last curtain call to officially end the event.

The 2018 edition of the event included the inaugural Creators & Innovators short film competition that challenged competitors to make a short film of them surfing and incorporate some humour and a shot of them in the lifeblood of the surf industry - their local independent surf shop.

The judging of the competition has now concluded, with the winning entry coming from 13-year-old Oscar Salt from Boomerang Beach in New South Wales.

Oscar, whose shoot incorporated his local retailer Saltwater Wine at Forster, takes home the $300 first prize and the bragging rights as the events inaugural winner.

Second place was won by 15 year-old Harry Green from Seaford South Australia whose local surf shop is Beaches Coastal Apparel, with third place won by 14 year-old Sea McManus from Port Macquarie who incorporated her local store Saltwater Wine Port Macquarie.

All three winning entries have been posted to the Skullcandy Oz Grom Open presented by Vissla website at [www.skullcandyozgromopen.com.au](www.skullcandyozgromopen.com.au)
