We're stoked to be sponsoring this year's world games. A total of 32 countries and 400 athletes and team officials are participating in the 2014 VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship (WJSC). The world's largest and most important Junior competition will take place in La FAE, one of the best and most consistent surf breaks in Ecuador. During the Opening Ceremony, which takes place today, each participating nation comes to the stage waving their national flag while pouring sand from their local beach into a glass container symbolizing the peaceful gathering of nations through the love of surfing.

Another fun size SW swell is on the radar for the 10th-12th and long range charts indicate a larger SSW swell is possible for the final weekend of competition.

SATURDAY 5th: Fun size S/SW swell mix SWELL/SURF: 3-4’+ faces with occasional larger sets to 5’+. WIND: Light/variable in the early morning, becoming WSW 8-12kts through the afternoon.

SUNDAY 6th: Continued fun size S/SW swell mix SWELL/SURF: 3-4’+ faces with a few larger sets WIND: Light/variable in the early morning, becoming WSW 10-13kts through the afternoon.

MONDAY 7th: Slow easing trend of SW/S swell mix SWELL/SURF: Lullier 3-4’ faces.
WIND: Light/variable in the early morning, becoming WSW 8-12kts through the afternoon.

TUESDAY 8th : Fading trend of SW/S swell mix SWELL/SURF: 2-3’ faces, with some larger sets to 4’ in the morning.
WIND: Light/variable in the early morning, becoming WSW 9-13kts through the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY 9th: Smaller leftovers from the S/SW; new SW slowly builds SWELL/SURF: 2-3’ faces. WIND: Light/variable in the early morning, becoming WSW 8-12kts through the afternoon.
